Comments on Dense Bricks Data: |
These products are sintered refractory dense bricks manufactured by dry processing method and firing in high temperature kilns.Since these products are manufactured from mixture of differebt raw materials, the properties are subject to variartions as the raw materials themselves, may vary. |
Nature of Bond: |
The nature of bond may be ceramic,Phosphate or chemical in nature.Where several bonds are used together, the bond is designed according to the nature of those bonds which play the dominant role in the fired product. |
Shaping: |
All the values mentioned in the data sheet related to standard bricks only, manufactured by plastic moulding method. |
Raw Material Base: |
This is the essential raw material conferring particular properties to the bricks and shapes. |
Max Service Temperature: |
The temperature is based on the product being heated on one face only in a clean atmosphere.Heating on more than one face, mechanical load or the presence of corrosive dust, certain gases or slags will cause the maximum service tempetarure to alter. |
Reversible Thermal Expansion: |
This test is done as per IS 1528(part 19): 1991: DIN 51045 |
Chemical Analysis: |
Carries out according to IS 1527 - 1972/ASTM C573 - 1981/ XRF- PW1480. |

Thermal Conductivity : Determined as per water calormetric. |
Specification For Shaped Bricks:
The data related to machine moulded standard bricks only.
For shaped items, specification will be same as standard bricks except the following variations.
BD will be lower by 0.10 gm/cc.,AP hugher by 2%,CGS lower by 100 kg/cm2 and RUL lower by 100 20* C from the specification values of standrand bricks mentioned in data sheet.
